Meet Me

My name is Lore Shimamura and I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. I decided to move to Seattle in 1994 to just have a change of pace and life experiences. Moving to the "mainland" on my own has been such an enlightening experience for me. I've been blessed with having good people in my life. Without them, I would not have been able to survive the challenging moments and enjoy the exciting ones.

I've been a hairstylist since 1992. I started off working as an assistant and went through an intensive training program, along with attending beauty school. I was very lucky to have been exposed to extremely talented and well know hair stylists at an early start. They taught me how important it was to be precise and detailed in my work but also to be attentive and appreciative with my clients. Till this day, I always remembered my parents telling me no matter where my career takes me, don't ever forget where you came from and always be humble. I've been very fortunate always having great mentors throughout my life.

I've continued my education in the hair industry. I attended the Toni & Guy Academy in Dallas, TX; Jingles Int'l Academy in NYC; Logics Haircolor in Chicago; Platform Work with Goldwell Haircolor in Honolulu; Educator for the Japanese iStraight System.
